About GREENHOUSE FLOWER SHOPPE

The Greenhouse Flower Shoppe has a rich history as it began in 1915 as the Pekin Rose Gardens which had greenhouses that grew roses for the Rose Bowl parade. Train tracks ran behind the property to load all the roses on to be shipped to Pasadena. The greenhouses were passed down in their family where The Greenhouse Flower Shoppe was born in 1972. It was passed down to their daughter in 1989 and was recently sold to me in 2022 during the 50 year celebration of the retail flower shop being born. I had worked in a floral shop in college and loved it, but I went on to work in public health. After COVID I decided public health was not where I was meant to be and the opportunity for me to purchase this amazing 50 year old flower shop arose and I took the opportunity. I had a great mentor, amazing staff and a supportive community to continue the legacy of The Greenhouse Flower Shoppe.

 We are one of the longest existing flower shops in our area. 52 years in business and still going strong. We have a small, part time, and very experienced team that have been in the floral industry all their lives some owning their own shops at one time. 

We all pull together when needed to tackle holidays, funerals, weddings or whatever is thrown at us. Its great to have an amazing team who love what they do. We provide our community with with flowers for events, pageants, fundraisers and more. We make cash donations to local sport teams, local high school scholarships, community 4th of July firework displays and much more throughout the years as funds allow.
